Well today has been very stressfull.

Removed my rear view mirror to look at fitting my map light mirror, need some different connectors so attempted to put the std mirror back on.

No luck, Searched on here for ideas, tried all of them (banging, greasing, using a screwdriver... ect) but i cant do it.

Is there anyone local to me that wants to earn a few £ and get the f**king thing back in?

Dave, relive one side slightly with a grinder worked for me many times, no long term mirror issues either so all good I'd say

I have done 4 so far and they are a pain in the ass, but alot of swearing and they go in without grinding or cutting them.

Get the one side of the spring in and ask someone to hold it in place, then with a screw driver push as hard as u can on the other end of the spring, when u think its almost there get an extention bar for a racket spanner and hit it with a hammer, may take a few attempts but they go in.
