Hello All
I seem to be getting alot of vibration at 85 - 90 mph. This is mainly felt at the steering wheel. The vibration then goes away after 90 mph.
Any Ideas ??
Thanks

could be unbalanced wheels /wrongly balanced
incorrect centrebore on the wheels
wheel that should have spiggot rings but havent maybe?
poss a bent wheel also
warped discs also a possibility
bottom arm bushes etc etc
best bet is slowly check everything and you should come accross the problem

Swap wheels front to back and see if that makes a difference as a first step.

thanks for tips chaps. I've just had brand new wheels fitted and my discs are fairly new, but I'll check everything again.

sounds more like worn bushes if it is only upset over poor surfaces, have you checked the track rod ends? Also the lower arm bushes, check for excessive play.kirils wrote:i had someting like that also, so i went to balance the wheels , and there was no improvement. but on my car it dosen't vibrate when i'm on a god road, but when i ht some little bump it starts to vibrate awfull... have no idea what could it be?
Was the problem there before you fitted the new wheels? Do the wheels have or need spigott rings fitted?

Thanks for your replies. The vibration was there with my old wheels aswell, again at the same speed. It happens while I'm driving, not braking, but I'll check what you have suggested.
