Was reading the manual today and it says that after 3 incorrect attempts at entering the code and starting the engine an alarm will sound for 30 seconds. I want out to the car to try out this idea, and afte rthe 3rd attempt there was a clicking noise, just like the indicator click, coming from the dash on the driver's side. Now, seeing as my E30 is a trackday slag, and hence most of the interior is in my shed, i'm obviously missing whatever it is that makes the noise. Anyone got any pointers as to what it should sound like and what i need to rummage for in order to reinstate the noise?

the clicking is coming from a small plastic relay box.
connected to this box "should be" a wire which goes to a horn.
the horn and/or wire is missing.
