No lag eh?? I've been looking at these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 1&rd=1 (fleabay number 280000988537) and wondering if they fit the euro S50B32... Hmmm.

In my excitement about the manifold I forgot to say: WELL DOME MY FRIEND!!

If you're ever this far south I'll hound you for a spin. Perhaps you could throw my engine in the bay as you're now a bonefide expert... :D

Looks like its for a lhd car though - doesnt fit the rhd ones due to the steerign colomn being where the turbo goes - although this is on the e36's surely there cant be that much more room on the e30?

Anyway - congrats on the conversion! - should be a hell of a laugh to drive :) and shock a few at the same time ;)

I emailed the guy and he says it sits upright, canters toward the centre of the car and toward the front. If my thinking is correct this places it up and at the front of the engine. The only thing you'd have to worry about steering shaft wise would be the downpipe...

Not sure if it fits a euro s50 (will fit an american one if it fits the M50)

Great news mate :woohoo:

As Fozzy said - pics and vids please winkeye
jaistanley wrote: Not sure if it fits a euro s50
It should bolt up to the Euro S50 engine, but the Euro S50 has much bigger ports than the M50 engines, so if those manifolds were desgined for the M50, I doubt they would be big enough for the S50.

Thanks for the nice words guys, had a day recovering from dublin and sorting out bank cards as I lost my wallet there!

A big thank you to everyone who helped me with the conversion, The biggest thanks has to got to Ian332isport. Without his superior knolwedge on this conversion I'd never have (a) started the project and (b) never finished it. Big thanks to JMC330i, Buster, germangorilla and of course Hammoj28 who helped get the 2nd engine running late one night.

Thanks also to the folks I bought parts from, everthing was spot on.

Got the carpet and interior in today, maybe not the right temperature for that kind of heavy work! 8)

Haven't been out for another spin in it cause the tailgate is off waiting for the guy to paint it but he's pissing me around!

Anyway as soon as I have some more pics and vids i'll post them up.

Hi Sandy,

Thanks for the thanks. Glad I could help :D

Good to hear it's going okay now. After the other engine grenaded it was looking touch and go for a while

Cheers,

Ian.
