What i wanna know is will the cloth of my mint non blind rear shelf fit on my new shelf with a rear blind?! They look slightly different in shape, has anyone done this
I think i sort of know the answer
Will the dealer sell me some new cloth?! ETK question!

I'd be amazed if you can swap the cloths over. For a start how are you going to get it off the old one? The non-blind shelf i took out of my iS was a completely different shape to the blind shelf that replaced it. The contours are all different around the blind itself.

Sorry mate, but this is a non starter
I don't believe the carpet type finish is removable from the parcel shelf. It's part of it really, rather than a covering. Certianly not available from the dealer.
As for the shape of the shelf, they changed them later in the E30's life I think. I bought a new (non blind) shelf from the dealer many years ago. It was a different shape to my original. The old one sort of curved up to the rear window, and the new one had a more square shape (like the blind shelf).
It looks like they standardised the shelf style to save having to make two different versions. If I look under my new shelf, I can see same marks that indicate where the ends of the slot would be for the blind. Infact, I have since got a blind from Sal, but not got around to cutting the slot in my shelf to fit it.
