Guys,

I retro fitted my obc lastweek, everything is fine except for one small problem :?

When I go to see what the range is, with regards to how many more miles I can do on the tank of juice I have, it reads wrong?? This morning I had just under the 1/4 mark - above the Red's worth of petrol, but my range was saying i had enough petrol to do 145 miles? Which I know is wrong...
Can anyone shed some light on this and why it's doing it please..

Thanks

theres a bung on the obc front(bottom left)remove and theres a slot(potentiometer to calibrate remaining fuel).
if you press and hold 1000 and 1 or 100 and 1 it will show the quantity of remaining fuel.then adjust pot to the obc correct.

I think you probably need to calibrate the obc so it reads equal to the remaining fuel. Next time you fill up, remove the plastic grommet at the bottom left side of the obc. Press the 1000 and 1 (i think) buttons at the same time to get the remaining fuel reading. Then turn the screw behind the grommet until the display reads however many gallons your tank holds. Does that make sense?!

I think so :? Can this only be done when I have to fill up the tank? or can this procedure be done at any time??

Cheers for the info so far guys :thumb:

It's probably most accurate to do it on a full tank as you'll know more or less how much fuel you have on board, but you can do it at any time as long as you have a rough idea of how much fuel you have left.

Tried to do this on my brothers car yesterday and could not get the level of petrol to cange down from 52.5L ? Whilst holding down the 1000+1 buttons and then trying to turn the gromit, didn't work?? am I doing something wrong??

If you just press the 1000 & 1 buttons at the same time then the display should read how much remaining fuel you have. With this displayed you then turn the screw behind the grommet to adjust the figure. Afraid i can't really tell you more than that!
