It has come to my attention that there are rumours flying about with regard to the second turbo install on the Fozzymonster chariot, Ie it blew up.

1stly, the original install was the second carried out by A-Tech ( my trading name ) the 1st being a complete R+D setup on my car, which is still the test "mule" for further enhancements

2ndly, due to the sheer size of the H1-C as fitted on the revised second setup, the boost crept beyond the capability of the wastegate to flow, so the boost spiked @ 21 psi and the result was a failed headgasket, no more, no less.

3rdly, following a replecement H/G and a slight CR drop to 8.1:1, Fozzys car is running stronger than ever, its merely off the road due to some structural issues and a broken windscreen.

the tales of melted pistons and rods through the block are pure BS and speculation on behalf of other "zoners"

I will not take anyones £Â£ and deliver a poor result, we have just completed the non intercooled M40 turbo install, that was a complete manifold, exhaust and rewire install, all carried out in house by A-Tech, delivered on time, and reliable as night follows day.

I'm dissapointed, but not surprised by actions of others here, all I'd like to say in closing is, I'm still smiling, and the doubters( you know who you are ) can kiss my backside.

Rumours???

WTF????

My cars in one piece as it has been and the fact it's off the road is down to me deciding to have it off the road, nothing is broken, christ I even posted a vid with it running only a few days ago.

My other half has started her own business and I've had to use all my spare cash to buy stock and equipment and the cars the last thing I need to worry about at the mo.

If ANYONE wants to see/hear/feel it then email me and I'll get her out and running although I'm missing a backbox now so it'll be LOUD as feck!

I'm not happy to hear small minded people are talking about things they have no facts on, really am shocked.

I....ME as in ME and ME only killed the 2nd head gasket as Ant says, cos I TURNED IT UP TOO FAR!! it had the stretch bolts and standard HG so it was no wonder the damn thing shat it pants, we ran 21psi for a few mins and that's too much, remember BIMMERJIM snapped a rod at just 15psi!!

Makes me sad rumours have to start tho......I'm always here, always about to ask!

If you don't believe me, in fact if you don't believe me I couldn't give a flying fook really, I fixed the car two weeks after I detroyed HG number 3, the fact the cars been off the road is soo I can help my partner of 8 yrs get her dream job and she feels so guilty because I have given up on my project for a few months.....but life requires these decisions I've found, so I'm proud to have made a "grown up" decision for once in my life.

I do miss my car with a passion, soon, very soon she'll be back, same engine too :D

Mark.

in all seriousness, i too had heard nothing, and from personal experience of your work, would not have believed it.

there are 2 more coming soon too, along with a 1/2 dozen N/A MS setups, and a feck load more chips and remaps, I'm here to stay guys, rumours or otherwise

Bloody annoying, no need for that :(

nothing but praise from me too, Ant's put himself out a couple of times to help me and the service is always A1.

I reckon I'm fairly competent, and it took me 6 months to get my turbo/MS install complete. Malc's M40 turbo's a much neater better quality job, and how long did that take Ant, 21 hours?

Maybe there should be an A-Tech Feedback thread started. If it's all feedback from first-hand experience it's all going to be good and the rumours will soon fade

Nice collection dude !

I've got started on a collection of M30's in verious states of repair.

M30 bottom end knackered and stripped
M30 bottom end from Jonb on a pallet
M30 Alpina B10 bottom end on a pallet

I've also got an old bike and 325 gear box that the scrap man was supposed to take but it's all in my front garden.

My touring has been on axle stands for about three weeks, no bonnet, no front wheels.

Need less to say i look the streets resident pikey

I choose not to do repairs on my own car as I don't have space/tools where I live. I often work with old mates from the motor trade but Ant is much nearer to where I live now. I have to say that Ant has worked on my car and his standard is top notch. It is obviously a good idea to choose a mechanic you can trust. I have worked in the motor trade on and off for years and been trained as a technician by BMW in the era of E30s. I have seen dozens and dozens of mechanics and Ant is beyond compare.

Many mechanics don't like working on the E30s or rarely see one. Ant is not only a skillful and proficient mechanic but he knows and loves the E30. This means a lot to a person who loves their cars. It is a pleasure to watch him work on a car, as you know it's a pleasure for him too.

As for turbos - I've seen the install and experienced the smooth, awesome, clean power of Ant's own 325i turbo. Turbo set ups are really quite involved. There is some fine creativity there. Ant is continually integrating the developing technology to harmonise within the E30 turbo set up and it is my place to just sit back, enjoy and read about it all. Fozzy you're obviously a nutter to turn it up to 21psi

When I have space for a turbo, I'm getting one. I wasn't interested in the idea (at all) until I went in Ant's car. It was great. It's an improvement like plugging a DVD player into your old TV. I've gotta have one. The old motor amazed while the view was flashing by and the turbo sweetly singing.

I dont know much about turbo's but that sounds more like the sort of thing that happens when you mess about with N2O. The drag racers call it "windowing" ie "he's windowed the block"

Heard nothing and if i did read such tripe id take no notice...Too many shyte talkers on here and have been messed about more than once by zoners and a few have rubbed me up the wrong way eh simon?

Think your work speaks for itself Ant and your reputation is nothing short of A1... and as spoke already about this the MS route is on YOUR job sheet,no one elses cuz basicaly i wouldnt trust anyone else with my Cab..

Anyone needing advise,Turbo instalation,Chips,MS instalation and all the surport with that...well theres only one place to go in my book if it involves an E30!
