this thread right here.
it annoys me for 2 reasons, first off, he bought the wheels off someone on the zone, part of the community if you will. he dont like the wheels, thats fair enough. but why then, should he turn round and expect more money from the very same community he bought them from, where is his community spirit?
then, everyone is jumping down this guys neck, for no longer being interested in them because the guy is trying to rip other zoners off?
if you dont see where im coming from with the ripping zoners off bit, think of it this way:
the orig advert for the wheels go up, person A is at work, with internet connection, person B is at work without internet.
person A and B both want a set of azev A's for they e30.
Person A sees the advert and says 'ill take them'
meanwhile, Person B gets home and sees the advert, and thinks 'B*stard!' cause hes just missed them
then 2 days later, Person B sees Person A asking for Offers on the wheels he wanted to buy the other day, instead of asking what he paid for them? fair enough, Person B could offer the price they were up at in the previous thread. but its fairly dishonest of Person A to try and con more money out of a fellow zone member, by not posting up how much he paid for them, then getting very defencive when questioned.
if it was on ebay or another forum, fair doo's but it gets to me that he is a member of this car forum, bought them off this car forum, yet see's the need to take more money than he paid for them off other members of this forum. it does pose a very nice image of his extreme lack community spirit, his agression is a nice touch also.
/rant over.
*pulls on Flame retardant overalls*
PS. Person A is the guy selling in this thread above, and person b is a purely fictional character to get my point accross.

Thats life mate, The seller has every right to ask whatever he wants for them as they are his property. But i do think he should have put a guide price up.
We all want to make money on certain things so its no different buying and selling parts imo.

I aggree with Dave
its his property so can do all he likes with it
I would have been a little more carefull with the way it was done though
nobody buy's something one day and sells the next without one thing in mind
Profit.
and I think thats what riled people up

Everyones got a different opinion, need to respect other people point of view.
It would be nice if every member of the zone felt a kindred community spirit for each other, but less face it thats unrealistic.
Seller can sell for what they want and if a potential buyer isn't happy with any aspect of the deal for whatever reason buyer sees fit, no-one is forcing them to buy.
Though that thread did go off on one a bit for no real reason

Widge sold me an exhaust for £50, someone just offered me £70 for it, Gareth Gave me a viscous fan for free, I've sold it for £10 including post and as its so heavy i only made a massive £2.30 profit, Gareth also sold me some 14" BBS for £75 inc post which I am now selling for £75+ P+P
I am not out to rip zoners off I bought parts to restore my tourer but it failed its MOT so im having to claw back some money.
this guy bought some wheels, the seller was happy with the price he got, if someone wants to offer the new owner something for them then thats his business. If you dont like the price then go to halfords to get your alloys.
WOW... was a great stress relief that

i dont see the problem either tbh,he bought them for a price that has nothing to do with anyone but the seller and buyer.if he chooses to sell them then hes entitled to get the best price he can.have you never sold something on for a profit then? community spirit is all fine and good when possible but that doesnt help pay the bills.likewise if someone chooses to back out of a possible purchase because he doesnt agree with the sellers methods then thats also his right.nobodies being forced into buying anything at any time and as grown adults were all able to make our own choices

Craig G, I agree with you (obviously).
I said in that thread, quite simply, that I'm not interested for the reasons you've outlined.
Perhaps I could've said it in a different way but once the swearing starts it's not like me to stop replying until I've made my point.
Some may say I'm immature, some may say opinionated, though it was perhaps just a little bit of fun. Some people take the forum too seriously

Dobbie are you calling me a chav for saying I think it's morally wrong for someone to try to blatantly make money out of another Zoner? (I'm not saying he did, merely that's what it seemed to me and I must've mentioned it in that thread somewhere.)dobbie82 wrote:If you dont like the price then go to halfords to get your alloys.
Not sure about that one

Buyer beware.
If he beat you to them the first time and it pissed you off then thats life mate.
By even responding to the threads just makes you sound like a bad looser.

Once something is yours i think you should be able to do with it what you like, and sell it for what you like!
I must agree that Zayyan sticks by what he says, i have sold him parts, and he has sold them on for the exact same ammount. Its a nice thing to do i agree.

I didn't even see them up for sale the first time. I was genuinely interested when I first posted.Martinaston wrote:Buyer beware.

Perhaps it wasn't necessary to post up why I was no longer interested, but still, better to differentiate myself from those who post on For Sale threads for no reason, or those who say "dibs! but can I pay you next week when my Giro comes though?" (OK maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration
I agree with this, it's common sense. But as I said, I just didn't like the seller's methods or attitude.bmwe30mtech wrote:Once something is yours i think you should be able to do with it what you like, and sell it for what you like!
Mr. Gallafant is right though. Much as I enjoy a good argument, this one's got a bit boring.
