My 325 touring is as rough as the preverbial badgers, when it is cold. When it has warmed up it is much better, a lot smoother but still just a little hesitant. If i try and floor it there is a slight hesitation but if i rev it gently there is no hesitation. And it feels as thiugh it is holding back very slightly.??????????????????????

I never had it on any of my other bm's with six's. When i first start it in the morning, there is a slight amount of dark greyish smoke when i rev it up an then it dissapears straight away (the smoke that is). Then untill it is warm it runs as though it is only running on five cylinders ( it's not but that is the only way to explain it). Thenwhen it is warm it is loads better .

i had this on my last touring and found just changing the cold start sensor worked and made it loads better.i tried this on my new touring and it still hesitates when bliping the throttle.so i've just bought a air flow meter and hoping its that.i've had mine serviced but i still get this hesitation.so be interested if you sort your out before i do mine and how.ill let you know if air flow helped.
p.s ive already cleaned out my idle stabiliser valve and not alot of difference

I had this problem on my 325is, it was that lumpy it would hardly run at all when cold had to keep it revving to keep it going. Changing the afm cured it for me, it still pulses slightly tho.

Get this with my 325i Touring, build the revs up slowly and its fine, rev quickly and it chokes a bit ( as if its clearing its throat for want of a description ) but its super smooth when warm.

Going to give it a good service and may try replacing the Cold Start Sensor :)

I replaced the airflow meter, no difference. Then the ECU packed up, so  so WHAT :x Hopefully that will sort it all out.

Mine must be fueling i think, sat there for the first few minutes with the door open today and all i could smell was fuel :?

Seems to choke on it when cold
