My blue IS has a 50amp one
and white one has 65amp one!
Odly white car seams faster... but does have 100, 000 miles less!
Buy one of those solar panels on ebay daz, get one of the VW blue polychristine ones (blue rather than grey) and your battery will never go flat.
I left a car in manchester (grey cloud place) from early february to mid april and I never went flat!
I got two for £20 for cheaper than new batterys...

My 318 daily driver has the biggest battery that would physically fit in the space provided. Leave the radio on loud all day while I'm working, have the fan on for an hour a day when the weather's hot while I'm eating, and it always cranks the engine over at about 3000 RPM (slight exaggeration, maybe) every time.

what amp is that Brian?
I've bee told to get a battery of a diesel as i use a lot of radio/cig lighter for phone and laptop especially as my car is my lunchtime spot too.
but i would feel stupid asking for a diesel battery!! is therer anything technical that i can ask for as i havrn't a clue about batteries?

Best value for money batteries i reckon are the Bosch silver batteries, i think both GSF & Euro car parts do them, i bought one for my iS a couple of years back cost me £35 i think from memory...

Came from my local independant tyre and battery supplier. Just asked him for the highest capacity that would fit! Could well be the one for the 324d, which is 85A/hr.
