Made a turn past GSF on the way home to pick up some vacuum and fuel hose for the car. All good, 5 mins down the road, the coolant light comes on. Pull in to the nearest garage - check plenty of water in the expansion tank, wiggle the connection, start the car again. No coolant light.

Get home, decide to take a closer look - some genius has shorted the sensor to make the light go out. Remove dodgy wire - light back on.

Why did I have to discover this after I had gone to the spares shop!! Could have picked a new sensor up while I was there!

Wonder what other bright ideas the previous owner has had?
