i was driving to work this morning when there was a funny smell coming from under the passenger seat. thort nothing of it and carried on driving about half a mile from where i work the cabin was full of smoke so i cut across to lanes of traffic to pull into a car park got out went round to the passenger side and lookd under the seat and found that the cables that were for the tv started burnin a piece of paper.

i shat myself lol

lucky i had my tools in the boot i cut the wires and took the fuses out

lucky escape i say lol

nearly a char grilled 318i and i was only 5 mins late for work

Bloody hell! Lucky you got to it in time. Ive often thought about buying a small fire extinguisher for my car but have never got round to it.

Funnily enough I've just put a post in the wanted section for a genuine fire extinguisher and bracket. You just never know. These are old cars after all. Plus it would just be nice to know its there and goes towards the car being that much more complete.
