Tried changing the rear subframe for one that had better bushes.. and in that attempt, we cut the hard line from the rubber hose to teh metal on the swing arm.

Normally, you undo the 2 with a 14 (ish) and an 11mm.#

We ended up rounding the metal pipe section, so unable to undo the 2. Not even with mole grips.

How can this be remedied. The subframe is on, so it might be possible to get it to a brake shop... will that help/work?

So you cut the soild brake line that is clipped onto the swing arm?
You can buy these from dealer for a few pounds, sounds like you will also need a new flexi hose aswell

Don't mess around. change the lot from just in front of the left rear wheel backwards. Cut everything off, clean up the tee piece off the car and rebuild with new flexis, new hard lines , new ends and new little U shaped clips.
Only about £20 of materials there if you make up your own hard lines in cunnifer.
