Hi folks,

In case you don't know, I'm organising Scumball, a sub-£1k chariot run to the Green Hell.

I'm taking my E30. - I've actually got 2 x 318iS, a daily driver and a spare/project car... The idea was to turbocharge the project car, but circumstances have left the 2nd car sat on the driver for over a year.

The daily driver is now an MOT failure, and I URGENTLY need to get the 2nd car up and running, and ready for the 'Ring in the next month.

As I say, she's stood for a year so she's filthy and mouldy, but otherwise in fairly solid shape. Very little rust anywhere, but in need of some mechanical attention:
  • Timing chains rattling.
  • Radiator is growing blue/white fur.
  • Clutch fluid reservoir hose is turning to powder.
  • Diff needs changing. (I've got an LSD on the other car to go on)
  • Brakes need changing, probably. (Not going to the Ring without good brakes!)
  • General look-over to make sure she's ripe for a 1000-mile jaunt to, around and from the Nordschliefe.
Can anyone on here help, or recommend someone, preferably around the North East who can get the car ready for the road and track within a month and without charging over £1000?

I can be mailed on omi@scumball.co.uk or called/text on 07773320544

The run is for charity, and will be televised, so any discounts offered will be returned with free advertising all over the car!?

Cheers,

Omi

Omi
Try George Lambrou at Auto-Bavaria,Unit 5,Lynnwood Business Centre,Lynwood Terrace,Newcastle NE4 6UL,0191-2260102.

George charges about £30 hour,he's an ex BMW Master Tech, and knows E30's inside out.I use him for all those awkward jobs. He'e good and can work to a time table.

Good to see you the other day on the A1.I was trying to keep up with you in my van,but thought i'd better slow down at 95mph!

Cheers Nick! - Will give them a shout...

Couldn't help giving it a quick blast on the A19, just showing you the true power of the 4-pot!

Anyone else got any ideas?
