I have £218 worth of smoked Hellas waiting to go on the car, but they have a small chip in one of the lenses which is annoying me.
My question is, is the glass itself tinted, i.e. to fill the chip would need tinted glass, or is there just a layer of tint on the inside of the lens, i.e. the chip can be filled by a windscreen repair company?

The glass is normal clear glass, not tinted at all.
You paid £218 for 2nd hand damaged lights?

I was told by the seller that they were perfect
One of the usual eBay losers you find from time to time.
He "didn't know about the problem" and will do "anything he can to help", so I expect if I get the chip filled he'll cover the cost. Admittedly it's only tiny and you wouldn't notice it with a quick look but I want them to be perfect.
Thanks for the answer though, that's just what I wanted to hear
