Anyone have any experience of a Quick Rack eg the E36 Rack conversion and a good six branch manifold on a 325 M20 engine. I have the engine out at momemnt on my C2 2.7 and would like to do both. But as the E36 option means the linkage is different to standard I wonder if six branch will be ok in conjunction with this.

I think this is one of those trade offs, either you have the E36 rack or you have the 6 branch, although anything is possible if enough £Â£Ã‚£ are thrown at it, think you will almost certainly have to modify the down pipes and that may then counteract the improvements the 6 branch gives if you have to alter the collector pipes etc

If you are under 30 you don't need powersteering, I mean you don't NEED it, so get one of E21jasons quick racks, it's just a different ratio rack and pinion gear which you build in to you old rack, no PAS but 2.5 lock to lock, and you get to keep the 6 branch, just do it you don't need PAS, cheaper than a gym membersip, and you'll get big biceps!

I seem to remember on one thread that said that you needed stiffer powerflex engine mounts to give extra clearance
