Is this a new loom or an easier repair. Seems to be a common fault.

Anyone repaired this problem?. Cost of a new cluster?.

Cheers Gareth.

Pins and sockets are available seperately to replace corroded ones, or simply hard wire the affected pins through the hole provided in the plug and socket
Normally only the permanent live (central locking) pins and the ignition live (mirror) pins are affected. The former can be removed permanently (red/black wires!) and the latter can be repaired.

If it's just the window motor, then feed a twin wire through the rubber boot and the hole in thee plug and socket into the door to the motor.
This is how dealer retrofitted electric windows are wired as standard.

I have just done this and found that new pins are expensive and the dealers dont know which ones they are..i went to my local scrappers (Quarry motors sheffield) and got a like new one with adout 6"of wire and replaced the old corroded one with this ...all the wires have the corresponding colours.. and bullet conncted them...the famous red/black wire i hardwired through the middle ...the whole job cost me £5 and 2 hours
