I decided to reduce the throw to get the more sporty feel..Didnt expect the headache waiting for me..
Bought a B&M shifter, ordered in for e30s.
I removed the old gear stick, and went to insert the B&M.
The shifter did not fit in the socket.(too big)
I decided maybe it was the wrong shifter so i bought a cheaper one off ebay, in which the seller took my car VIN number in order to get the right fit.....this also did not fit (too big)

Whats gone wrong?

I fitted an OEM shift lever bought from my local dealer, along with a new bearing for it to fit in.
