I am sure i read it before but isn't it possible to test leads with a multimetre to see what whats getting through to the plug??
(i am assuming there are obvious precautions to be taken)
i would just like to know what each lead should be putting out and how to test it..

Not exactly sure what you mean, if you mean to test the spark itself then i wouldn't think so, most multimeters are rated to 1000vDc and 750vAc and i dont think thats enough.
the way i have checked leads is to measure the resistance of the lead but again not too sure what that should be off the top of my head.

sorrry thats what i meant
do you know what value the resistance should be and where to take it from? i did it a bout a year ago testing for kOhms on another car but i cant remeber the link to what the values are and i am sure different leads should have ddifferent values.

Around the 5000 ohm to 6000 ohm mark for the plugs and about 1800 ohms for the king.
Also look at the leads in the dark with the engine running. There should be no blue discharge.
