Large adjustable or f-type??

I had to take mine off to adjust it, even though I had just nipped it up hand tight, without a spanner!!

Don't think many of us have a spanner to fit that one.
I use a pair of water pump pliers. (Don't know why they're called that, but they are!!).
Don't forget to preload the centre bearing afterwards.
Mark where the centre bearing bracket sits naturally with the mounting bolts loose, then force the bracket forwards about 5mm and tighten the bolts.

F type is an adjustable spanner in the shape of an 'F'!!

The lower horizonal line (of the 'F') moves up and down to give different nut sizes.

It is more 'adjustable' than the normal ones, as it can open a hell of a lot wider.

Hope this helps!

meh ive given up with tat , i took of the centre bracket, marked off, just couldnt get the damn things to grip, swan legs they called i think, the water pliers. my ones are crap, oculdnt grip, so gonna get the whole prop off and work on it then..

to get the prop off from the gearbox side, i undo the 3 screws that are slightly " in, and not the ones that attach to the prop shaft right?? cos they harder? more awkward???
