I have just bought my first BM and need advice. The spec is 318 but the engine is a carb, I don't believe the 1987 318 had a carburettor engine. However I want to keep this car for many years, restore it, have fun and pass it down to my son. My question is this...based on cost if I wanted to shoe-horn another engine in, what would the easiest conversion be, and at what costs. I live in the North West, so would also like to know who the best people to go to are.
