I totalled my 84 325E but all of the drive train is still good. I found an 86 325ES with a bad engine (I think the dude let the timing belt go too far). My question is should I have any trouble swapping the motor (maybe tranny also just so I dont have to mess around with taking them apart) from my E into the ES. Are the wiring harness' the same, or will I have to swap the ECU? I was also thinking about just swapping the heads as long as the ES' bottom end isnt dammaged. How easy is this engine swap going to be. I think it should probably be as easy as it gets, but I just want to make sure before I get in over my head. Any input is taken kindly. Thanks.
