Hi
My ignition lock has siezed up and the key will only go to number one .
How do I take the lock out so i can renew it?
Please help as I've just put a new ICV on the car and want to know if it's cured the Idle and flat spot problems:)
Thanks
Aaron

turn key to P1
insert stiff wire/straight bit of coathanger/small allen key into the small hole between the chrome section and the barrel itself
wiggle the key/barrel assy and it should come out.
Oh, and its a right PITA

Yeah I'll second that! Did mine a couple of weeks ago, once you've got the wire in there (you got to get the key in just the right position for it to go in), you'll probably need to try to press the end in towards the barrel, and then it should come out fairly easily...
Good luck
I couldn't find a but of wire thin enough so I ended up filing down a bent out split pin - but it worked!!
