Hi guys,

Last weekend I swapped over my cylinder head for one that I built up with a Shrick cam on my 325i. Anyway when I removed my old head I found that mainly the exhaust valves were covered in yellowish deposits. (See pics)

Does anyone know what this is, is this normal and if not what does it means in the way it was running?

Much appreciated if anyone can shed any light on the matter.

Cheers

Pav

Those deposits are normal matey, tan colour means she's running well :D

I'd remove as much of the deposits as possible before refitting the head though.

Cheers,
