318is Front Brake Caliper

I ordered a recon caliper from GSF, its arrived and doesnt look anything like the one on the car and doesnt fit. However the part numbers on the box, match those on the ETK for my car. The caliper from GSF is a Girling.

Are all front calipers for 318is the same or did they change? The ones I have fitted have larger diameter holes to fit to the carrier.

I need to get it off as it is sticking badly and I cant afford to warp another set of discs.

What is the difference between ATE and Girling?

It sounds like you definately have the ATE calipers fitted to your car. They are totally different to the girling caliper which I think are fitted to US models so this may explain the ETK mix up.

Not sure if anyone can back me up on this, but I have not seen a UK model IS with girling calipers fitted.

I fitted two reconditioned ATE calipers a couple of months ago from ECP so it may be worth checking with them if you are unable to get the right items from GSF.

Not sure on the differences, but assuming you've sent the caliper back to ECP, I have one from a 318is if you need one?

Yes Is calipers are most certainly ATE

sounds like GSF have messed you around like they have me tens of times!

Also got ARB front bushes which were utter cack, they didnt fit.
