Anyone know much about the seatbacks in there E30?
Particularly interested in the "comfort" seats.

My drivers seat has developed a "lean" to the left :? nothing drastic, but its a problem i wouldnt like to have to be honest!
Had the seat out yesterday, but couldnt really see many bolts etc.. that i could adjust, im presuming its inside the seatback that need slooked at?

Anyone had a similar problem? How did you fix it?

Cheers

I had a similar problem on the fiat coupe and it turned out that the seat frame had broken and need welding...my upholsterer says its quite common

have a look on realoem for the seat frame diagram

best of luck

When the seat develops a lean, it's normally the weld that has broken, it can be repaired, but requires some stripping down, and is quite fiddly.

Another common problem is when the lower mount screw comes loose, but this doesn't cause a lean, just the back rest becoming loose.
