i have just gone to buy some caps in the for sale section, got the price delivered and the paypal address
i made a payment within 45 mins and he rejected my payment.
when i mailed him, he told me there was one left and that i was too slow
i thought if someone express' interest in an item and offers a form of payment, or says i'll have it, then it should be sold....
this is all getting beyond a joke and causing a lot of ill feeling in the selling community....some buy and sell to make a few quid, others sell spare bits, regardless what the situation, it should be sold to the first person, not after there have been PM's and going behind peoples back.
this same thing happened to my mate, he said he would buy this item, and when another guy showed interest the seller put it on ebay to get the highest price.
I honestly think there should be some rules about the goings on in these sections........greedy gits are already running the country, now they're ruining our forum.
IS IT JUST ME...??

It's not just you, but it *is* the minority of sellers thankfully... I had exactly the opposite experience today - decent people are out there!

Can understand why your upset but I'm afraid it's a problem that's bound to occur with a forum this size.
There are obviously members on here who are, in all but name, traders who are making a living out of their sales. It's clear that they could not move so many spares/breakers if they were holding down a full time job.
Then there are the enthusiasts that have collected loads of bits over time and are only too happy to help out a fellow zoner with a reasonable price.
I agree that if you confirm a price with a seller then it should be considered "sold", on the gentlemans agreement principal. The only way to avoid this is by monitoring sellers and checking what sort of feedback is posted by members.
I don't think that rules will prevent this happening, but don't let it put you off the zone.
The GOOD still outweighs the BAD on here!

i have been lucky on here, bought off 3 zoners so far (gareth, widge, and andy325i) and felt guilty for getting bits so cheap!
i dont think it should be a case of first to reply gets it, its up to the buyer who he sells to. but if you had agreed payment terms then its a bit off to sell to someone else.

I've had similar experience on here, agreed to buy something, paid for it, a day later he returned my payment, and told me he'd sold it elsewhere, it is very annoying!
