e36 coil

hello, going to view a very cheap but nice looking e36 320 later. The current owner states it needs a new coil pack to get though the M.O.T. What would be the symptoms of a faulty coil? The price he's selling the car for makes me wonder what else is wrong with it!!! Thanks in advance

Thanks for the quick reply, £20 each isn't that bad i suppose. Will have to look at it and see!

yer, dont quote me on the £20 each, they might be more!
And you say it aint bad, £20 x 6 = £120 and thats if they are £20

Had a look at GSF car parts and they quote £29 + vat, so could be quite pricey for 6!
