right ive got a squeaking bloody steering rack
and its doing my head in.

its one of those things that has needed doing since i bought the
car but have never got round to it.

it just squeals like a bitch when its on ful lock either way.

how do i siort it im sure its summat simple but dont wanna go
doing stuff 1st.

power steering fluid maybe winkeye

I think was posted a while ago what you need to do is change the fluid and clean the filter on the resvior it works great. i even think there a directions on this site

I had same sort of noises coming from my rack, ( it was groaning and creaking when going from lock to lock ), I thought the rack was shagged. But I eventually checked fluid level and found the reservoir was empty. Refilled and noises disappeared, rack OK, I will have to do service checks more often. I'm just lazy.
