LSD?

hi, i'm a bit new to bmw's so i wonder if you guys can help me? i'm after a LSD for my '85 320i, were there certain models fitted with LSD's? is there any marking on the case for easy identification? are they just straight swaps for the ordinary diff's or do you need the shafts as well? any help would be massively appreciated

the gearing is stamped in the casing 4.10, 2.95,2.74 ect ect...
It should be a clean swap. but im not sure if you need a 4 cyl or 6cyl model. LSD are fairly easy to find should cost around $250
