having taken a variety of headlight glasses from my local scrappies they all have in common light pitting over their entire surface. (not present on my original headlight glasses ????)

what's my chances of sanding/polishing out these imperfections? if i take wet and dry to glass will it be ruined? anyone know anything about glass polishing that can help me please?

this happened to a fog light of mine on an old car so i took it out and sanded the imperfections out with wet and dry and lots of spit. the galss does go opaque and murky so i sprayed some laquer over the glass and wabam it looked like new. the wet and dry has to be a very fine grade tho and dont sand to hard other wise the laquer wont hide the scratches.

I tried brasso on mine because its mildly abrasive, it took a while but you can see a definate improvement and it doesn't leave any scoring, i hope this helps
