hi all. if any of you read my last topic you will know my 318 touring has decided to deadlock itself.i have tried a trick suggested by brianmoore(cheers) but nothing is working. i cannot open either back doors, passenger door, fuel flap or tailgate. i got the drivers door open by turning the key and yanking the handle at the same time but now it wont stay closed. i really need help. its the wifes car and she is really giving me grief about it as she is having to walk to work. if i dont sort it soon i am going to smash it to bits and scap it, it really is that anoying. cheers all.

Get the front door open , remove the door trim and take out the cdlmotor. Climb through to the boot area , drop the r/h cubby flap and take out the tank flap motor, at least you can use the car - happened to me once in a customer's car at the petrol station - it was running on fumes
, embarrasing climbing around in the boot of a 3 series looking like a casual thief. Sounds as if the cdl relay has gone tits up - most likely the thermal 'fuse ' inside. Used to fix dozens of these a few years ago......

Take the inner panel off in the back that covers the rear lights, and you can get at the rear hatch solenoid easily.
