I have a 3.73 in excellent nick put the round piece of metal that houses the bushing on the back plate has an inch long piece nmissing - could i take the backplate of my 4.10 non lsd and just swap - is it hard - i am worried i'll need new gaskets or seals or will it just swap over once i take of the bolts?

You use a liquid gasket. It's interchangeble as long as both diffs are the small one or big one.

so i will be safe enough in swapping over 2 large case diffs?.. i was worried that when i took of the back plate that parts of the lsd would come loose and i wouldn't have a clue how to put it back together. i think i know that liquid gasket stuff its pretty damn pricey too! think i have some luckily enough.
