ok, basically i really dont see the attraction in alpina wheels.... lol i think i shot myself there.... but seriously, bbs wheels are so much smarter... everyone keeps on going on about alpina alpina wheels.. etc.. but the bbs's are the dons! preferably some nice polished splitties!

anyway,, what do you all prefer.. in terms of looks/styling...

BBS split rims all the way, if you are totally minted. 16" Alpinas are sweet though.

Are we talking GENUINE Alpinas, or 17" replicas...?

I love the Alpinas for the looks, but prefer the BBS's for the ride quality. A set of 16" BBS split rims would win hands down though... but you find a decent set for less than a grand!

I prefer the standard BBS wheels which is why Im not changing mine.
That said though a set of deep 16" BBS wheels look stunning.

OZ Mitos are nasty 80's thin-spoked star shaped 5 spokes!

I think Ben's on something this week...

...but Venoms/Voodos take the biscuit for me. Winners, hands down.

Given the chance i'd have a 5 stud setup and 17" BBS split as off the 5 series and paint the centres nogaro. As with some M3s.

I think he meant original Aplina's mate?
The 17's look nice but the handling just goes out the window :?

OK previous thread response removed, I'd go with BBS nogaro coloured centres then.

What colour is nogaro?
I've got a set of standard bbs's that i'm refurbing at the mo and i'm doing the centre's gloss black and bright silver lip :D
Was gonna do a polished lip but i'm gonna learn my drifting a bit better with these wheel's :D

i love my alpina's but i think that is cause the car is actually an alpina and i don't want to stray too far from the real thing and ruin the whole alpina appeal but if it was a normal well tuned 325 or similar to be honest i would go for the BBS's  (appologies to all alpina runners) :D

Nothing wrong with either imo.

Personally, I'd only bother with the 16in Alps though. But then I'd have to get a replica kit and...

...who am I kidding. BBS it is, unless one of you wan't to give me a C2.... 8)

Got to be BBS, something that BMW got absolutely spot on. Cross-spokes on any BMW is a wise choice 8)

Ive put 17 Alpina reps on my car after having 15 bbs on there and the 17s transformed the car, looks so much better now :)
however if had the money i would have gone for some 16s or 17s bbs cross spoke splits, bit rarer, still a bastard to clean winkeye
