Got a fault on the hazard warning flasher problem today!!
Haven't use the car for a week. Today, when I try to start up the car, it was no battery. (Perhaps running out during the week) Luckily, I 've got another car for jump start.
After re-start the car, the hazard waring flasher liminulate can can't be turned off.
It flash whenever I open the door, and it's off after I closed the door for a while. It will then flash again when I start to drive the car. It's so annoying, another know what's the problem?
I suspect that the old "after market alarm" got problem, I would like to disable it but unfortunately, I don't know where the system is located.

Sounds like an alarm problem to me, my alarm keeps flashing the hazards at bizzare times.

There was a wierd newish Chinese alarm on a 318iS I bought a couple of months ago, that flashed the hazards at odd times. Found out from the website that this was supposed to happen.
Alarm now resides in my scrap bin.

Alarms that are fitted by installers who know what they are doing, are connected to wires at a socket at the rear of the glovebox. Those who don't know their way around E30s usually connect to the indicators around the middle of the steering column, or behind the hazard switch.
BMW indicator wires are blue/red and blue/black, so look for different coloured wires teed into these.
