Hi all,

I'm planning to finall haul my arse to Munich in my 318iS. It has been a long time coming. I plan to go around summer time next year where I have a small window in my calendar. I'm looking for inspiration for routes, places to stop on the way, how long the museum takes to meander around, local photo op spots, advice on visiting the city (not much then  :D )

I plan to try and do the round trip in 4 days, which is a little slim for my liking but needs must. One thing I did have in mind was to stay in Nancy near the German boarder as its a pretty good half way point in the european leg of driving.

Have a word with "PaulTV" Rich, he lives over there and is the Master of epic trips around Europe.

The museum is closed on a Monday. I went last year, Hull to Rotterdam ferry. I stopped in Augsburg the evening before so had a morning in Munich to see various things. Ulm is nice. Visit the Deutches Museum and BMW Classic as well. Then up to Nuremberg to see some old Nazi architecture.
The 'ring isn't worth visiting tbh. Spa is better as is the whole Ardennes area.
