Can someone tell me, are the door windows meant to drop a fraction when you pull the door handle ?
I had an E36 coupe which obviously do that but never owned an E30 until now. It seems odd because when I shut the door the glass does not drop, which then means the fabric roof is under the glass not over it as it should be.

No, they don't drop.
