Morning All,

I am slowly making my way through updating/restoring my interior on my touring. One of these steps is removing the carpet to deep clean and dye it black. There is a tear in the carpet right where the bulge is for the foot rest. I would like to put in a proper foot rest of some sort, as I don't like the way my foot sits on the carpet in that area, a proper footrest will also cover the damage to the carpet so its a win-win if I can make it look good.

Has anyone done anything similar on a RHD before? I can see they are available for LHD cars, but nothing for RHD.

I appreciate it can't be very wide without interfering with the clutch pedal, but I just want something that I can put my foot on at a more comfortable angle, and cover up the damage.

Thanks,

Sadly no. Garagistric in the states are making LHD M3 foot rest replicas but I've seen no one do anything for RHD cars.

Thanks,

Will have a look at modifying a more recent bmw one I think. Want something that looks like it could have been there from factory.

I wonder if this is a good candidate for a 3d printed part?
