Hi All,

Times are changing... a new owner for my BMW is required after 15 years with me. Details and lots of recent pics on my thread here (bottom of page 1 and page 2)

Please drop me a PM if interested.

It's a completely original, genuine MTech2 Sport, manual gearbox, and has been dry stored in my garage since 2010 ish when I stopped using it much. Original engine, (154k miles), gearbox, LSD all still fitted and healthy, original wheels and centre caps still present. It's been fired up, moved around and warmed up every few months over my ownership generally so hasn't been stood for long. It will definitely need some remedial work to the rear sides of the boot floor, top of the back panel above the lights where the boot shuts, front jacking points and I'm sure elsewhere. There are a few rust blisters on the bonnet and sunroof but generally it's in very good condition for a 33 year old car that was so easy to lose control of as a young man - there can't be many left that have got to this age unscathed

The car doesn't have a current MOT, I last got it tested in 2017/18 but fires straight up, runs well, stops (all new brakes in 2017 and not been far since!), and drives very well as I've kept on top of mechanicals as per some of the updates on my thread. Oil, filter, coolant, radiator, timing belt etc. changed in the last year.

For that money it needs an MOT.

Thanks for the comments, I’ve been hopeless at trying to half heartedly sell this car - I really ought to try harder.

I had been meaning to get around to seeing what was needed for an MOT to aid the sale weeks ago but keep getting sidetracked with other non car stuff…. plus I bought another campervan…

Anyway, I had the car on ramps yesterday and think the MOT tester would very likely complain about the front jacking points which need repair/replacement due to rust (not sure if they’re an MOT failure but would assume so) and possibly the front to rear brake lines which have plenty of surface rust. Otherwise it’s in decent shape for a 30 year old car and everything works but it’d benefit from a bit of rolling renovation by a new owner due to lack of recent use and expected grot under the battery area in the boot etc. would need attention longer term.

Given I could really do with selling it this summer before we start a house renovation / move, would anyone care to make a reasonable offer as is before another month passes?

Please drop me a PM if interested :)

Here’s something else I found in the garage, a bit of nostalgia… pre 1990 London telephone area code? Original supplying dealer tax disc holder.

You might want to do a retake on the price if there's work to be done, including taking care of rust.
As a price guide, here's one that sold recently: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265696511921.
Good luck!

A 325i sport is still a 325i sport I guess.

Thanks, I’m open to offers. I was keeping an eye on that silver one on car and classic and then on eBay. I’ve never seen that car in person, but from the description I would suggest it’s not in comparable condition to mine. It looks a decent project but no service history, cracked dash, failed electric windows, scuttle rust, 40k higher mileage etc.
