I was thinking of changing my discs on the e46 325 cab and thought about drilling and /or grooving them .
Apart from looking cool, what difference do you think it makes to the actual day to day driving ?

Mart.
Only the E46 cab left now.
Just got too old.

I thought as much, but are they a cool addition ?
I can do these at work with no effort so the cost will also be "zero".

If I add my two penn'orth, I have the slotted rotors on the e30 and they do a nice job of keeping the pads face wiped clean & true.
The V60 also has them from the factory and that’s a great set-up - dusty but great.

Had aftermarket cross drilled rotors on my old V70R estate and they were never right nor did I see any better braking performance. Just uneven rotor & pad wear as the drilled holes weren’t in the right spot on the disc face due to the internal vent casting.
