Hi Guys, looking for a little help. I have a brake lining light issue. It's been on since I pirchased the car. I noticed it used to flicker under heavy braking.
I have the dash out and I've checked the solder at the resistor and all seems fine.
I've then checked the wiring from pin 26 to the front left sensor and I'm getting a low resistance of around 0.23 ohms which seems fine.
The issue is I also have low resistance to ground on the same pin as seen in the picture. This is the wire from the sensor in behind the dash to the cluster. According to the diagram, theres no route to ground. Am I correct in thinking the short to ground is causing the light to come on? Also, any where in behind the dash that's a know issue?

Have you checked the pads and pad sensors are OK?
If they are OK check the brake fluid level as that puts on the same light.

I've ordered 2 sensors but the pads 2 look OK.fixedwheelnut wrote: ↑Sun Feb 13, 2022 10:03 pmHave you checked the pads and pad sensors are OK?

The fluid level is fine but according to the diagram, that warning is in a seperate light.

I've had a look at the solder on the resistor and it looks OK. Nothing loose or movement in the resistor. I just found the resistance reading odd as the circuit shows the wire comes from pin 26 to the front pad sensor. It shouldn't have any path to ground. I may be over thinking it as I've yet to change the sensors at the weekend.fixedwheelnut wrote: ↑Tue Feb 15, 2022 8:31 pmCheck this from the Wiki on the rear of the instrument cluster as wellBinkerment wrote: ↑Mon Feb 14, 2022 7:53 pmI've ordered 2 sensors but the pads 2 look OK.fixedwheelnut wrote: ↑Sun Feb 13, 2022 10:03 pmHave you checked the pads and pad sensors are OK?
