Hi All,
Decided to sell my e36 vert and mx13 corona to fund an e30 vert.
Have this g260 swapped 325i lined up. Couple of minor issues and not all original but solid car that will suit my needs well. Has heaps of new parts and a schrick cam.
Short term plan is lots of driving, some light panel and paint work, retrim recaro SR4 to match beige leather interior, patch a couple of small holes in the top and general service
Next will be more driving, purple tag rack, importing a hard top, fix dash cracks (probably recover in leather or vinyl) and possibly hartge replica headers/intake work. Also considering LSD if I can get one for a decent price. Have some contacts in Germany looking into it.
Longer term plans are EV conversion when technology progresses and local parts availability improves. Would likely keep the original drivetrain and clutch but will also consider selling that off and installing small tesla drive in the rear if that makes more financial and practical sense at the time.
If the EV doesnt go ahead for whatever reason it will get the M50TUB25/G250 treatment as I absolutely love that combo in my e36
Greeting from sydney

Thats part of the reason I sold the e36, too addicted to driving it to spend the time to fix the long list of electrical problems

Welcome to the zone and another cab driver,as for the Recaros don’t retrim them you’d be better off losing them and get the proper original seats, but that’s my opinion.

I agree, original sports seats would be better, just a matter of cost.
Can retrim recaros in leather for about 300 and do rear seat to match for about 500
Retail price on e30 sports seats that need retrim is like 2k plus here.
Found a pair of mint natur sport seats that would match my perfect rear seat but the guy wants 4500
It would be great to have a matching original interior so if he will let them go for 4k I might do it. Should be able to make 1000-1500 back on the recaros
