Code 1444 (no errors), but CEL is on

Hello.
I have annoying problem with my car, M20B20 engine, '87, Motronic 1.3 (DME-ECU 172).
CEL (CHECK ENGINE) is on always, but "stomp test " gives code 1444, no errors.
Another ECU gives same symptoms.
