i'd do the dizzy cap, rotor arm, plug leads,
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.

Valve clearances usually if the valve cover is off. There are a lot of service jobs on the m20, it all depends how far you want to go, if it's running nicely don't worry too much, just keep doing your oil and filter changes, and cambelt when it is due.

Dizzy and rotor definitely worth the effort if they are still the originals, the plug leads usually dont give trouble, and can be checked with a multimeter test

I do both my cars twice a year for the cost of oil and filters it`s a must for me.
I bought 20 lts of Shell (cant remember now) for @£75 and will nearly do both twice.

Only the E46 cab left now.

Make sure the spray bar is totally clear. Breather hose from cover to inlet,.. just replace it if its old.

Are the half moon rubbers good? If hard they may well leak after being disturbed.

Then there's the oil pump if you have the bottom off....it just goes on !!

All I'd say is leave alone things that are fine !!
