Hi All,
I was trying to replace the plastic lines that from the expansion tank through the metal channel in the rear wheel arch to the petrol tank but the OEM part is very expensive. Can anyone suggest what lines they have used possibly available on ebay? I think they are 5mm and 6mm with one 1mm thickness (hence plastic I imagine). I got some rubber hose but it won't fit through the channel as the O.D. is quite large. Is there a plastic hose someone has used?
The alternative is to repair them - one has a small hole where the line got pinched under that metal cover in the wheel arch - can I use a special tape or somehow melt it back together?
Cheers
Seenan

Cut the pinch out and use a rubber tube to reconnect.
For PVC tubing look at garden irrigation tubing.

All comments by me should be taken in the right sprite, Jack Daniels is fine.

Great idea - thanks, will have to see where the pinch is and whether it needs to fit through the channel that goes under the seat.
For the garden irrigation tubing - will be PVC be alright with fuel going through it instead of water?

If you are talking about this type https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-bmw ... 131178475/ , then the ETK says there is both 6mm and 8mm tube used, depending on which line it is. You can get nylon fuel tube like this very cheaply , the only difference will be the ends of the OE part are flared to secure the rubber hose to.
