hi everyone nice to join a discussion group with people like yourself.

i currently have a e30 325.
bit of a dissapointment in performance compared to my last car, but my other car didnt have stereo, carpet, a heater or back seats! so got to take the rough with the smooth.

ive had it 7 months now, and im looking to mod the engine a bit. i dont have the facilities to do a re build like i did with my 4 pot. and i dont want to go too deep, as im loving the reliable, smooth ride i get right now.

i would like to put in a mild cam, the mildest you can go. but does anyone know of prices? i got a quote already for a stage 3 head so ill be doing that. i have just seen the performance chip for the 88 onwards. anyone got this and know exactly what it does?

what i would like to know is, is it going to cost me tons more in fuel, and ive read that it plays with the ignition timing, can the standard 2.5 pistons handle it? and do i have to always use 97-99 octane fuel? (i had to with my other car, because it would pink with 95 crap).
