This is regarding the sound/heat insulation on the engine side of the bulkhead.
I've priced up a new set. So now I'm wondering about alternatives. I want to maintain the comfort/sound deadening of the original car. Is it that bad without, and maybe add an extra layer of underlay inside the car? Or is it viewed as something that makes a 3er pleasant to drive?
Still waiting on price back from the local dealer here in Newfoundland. He did a good job on the prices for the bodywork I needed so far, hoping he can get the price down to something more easy to swallow, list price for these items in Canada adds up to around $870. I'm buying all new door seals, heat resistant plates, exterior body trim, and window seals too so I hope as a big lot he can do well on the overall price.
