Cad drawing package

Hi all !!
I am looking for a cad drawing package which is really very simple to use and very cheap or even free ??
All I wish to do is plot points from a simple datum point using angles ,off-sets etc you know the drill.
The very early ones are what I`m looking for so no latest "Auto -Cad" demo`s as they and such like are too complex for what I need.
Let me know what you you think or even may have , pm me if you like if it`s a bit " "

Twenty years ago I quite liked Solidworks - easy to use, nice interface and they had free/cheap versions. No idea what's happened in the past two decades though!

It`s the early type I`m looking for
All I want to do is draw some stuff out and measure things as I need to, I will have a look on line .
