hi there i currently have the stock unreliable carb on my 316 e30 and was looking for an upgrade i am currently using my e30 as a daily so it would have to be somewhat fuel efficient if i could get a couple more horses at the same time that would be great. i was thinking about a 38/38 weber whats your thoughts ? i would like to have a replacement that doesn't have a manual choke so i don't need to add any holes to my interior.
if i could keep the stock round air filter that would be great so visually it stays stock are there any adapters for the original cover ? i know i am asking for a lot any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

First of all, congratulations on keeping the original carb. working for so long. A rare achievement.
32/34 is the one for the 316, and the kit comes with an adaptor to fit the original air filter. These are manual choke, but it should be possible to get these to start and run without using a choke, if you press the throttle to the floor a couple of times. It won't drive very well unto warmed up though.
