I just replaced my aerial with a Hirschman 2050 and now it goes up beautifully...but stays up. This now makes sense why the last aerial didn't go down also.
I am hoping this is a simple wiring issue somewhere.
Aerial goes up...not down

Well...that was an easy fix...despite copying the old wiring layout, the constant and switched earths were round the wrong way.
I won't say I am getting the hang of reading diagrams..but definite progress
